Thomas Cox counsels and defends clients in all areas of labor and employment law, including employment discrimination, wage and hour compliance, family and medical leave compliance, restrictive covenants, and related tort and contract claims.
Before joining the firm in 2016, Thomas served as a law clerk to U.S. Magistrate Judge Brian K. Epps in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Georgia, Augusta Division. As a law clerk, he conducted research and drafted orders on a wide variety of employment matters, as well as other civil cases and in criminal cases.
Thomas graduated magna cum laude with an undergraduate business degree from the University of Georgia. He received his law degree from Vanderbilt University Law School where he was admitted to the Order of the Coif and was a member of the Vanderbilt Journal of Transnational Law, in which he also was a published author.
